Welcome back, friends. This is it, the final post of the London Fashion Adventure saga.
Today is the day; Alex and I are leaving for London!!! Can you imagine that just 4 months ago, this was just some crazy dream we had. An opportunity to take a short course at the London College of Fashion. And then, POOF, it became a reality! Months of being super organized (me!) and super spontaneous (Alex); planning and saving and scheduling and worrying. And now here we are and we’re about to leave home for another big step towards achieving our dreams.
My day so far has been filled with anticipation and tears and nerves and excitement. This whole week has been a whirlwind. My last official day at TR, forever, was Monday, where my lovely manager and co-worker had a small surprise going-away party for me. I got to spend Tuesday with my lovely Best Friend Forever, my twin from a different mother, my partner in crime, Ruby! Alex and I got our nails done on Wednesday, and I got to go to her surprise going away party and meet her family on Thursday. (They are the nicest people on Earth, I swear. I have never met friendlier, welcoming people, and I can totally see where Alex gets it from.) And yesterday was spent with family. My Godparents and cousin, who always support me in anything I set my mind to, took me to lunch. And then I spent the night just chillin’ and talking with my mom (who, at the beginning, was totally against it, but finally gave this adventure her blessing because she loves me more than anything else in the world) and my Uncle Nick (who taught me from a young age that, it didn’t matter what I chose to do in life, as long as I was happy.)
My nails, done by the amazing genius Billee!!!
Busy week; I barely had time to pack. Hehe. Neither did Alex, because her week was just as busy as mine. Both of us are so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving family and support team. Look at this big party of people who came with us to the airport to see us go!
And speaking of seeing us go, it’s time to go! This is it, we are off! Goodbye Chicago; get ready London, we’re on our way!
See you in September, with lots of pictures!!!
Why couldn’t it be a dry heat? Right now, in my town, it’s 90 degrees (F) with 85% humidity and everything smells like swamp.
Does everyone pack 3 different spools of ribbon with them for a trip overseas…or is it just fashion majors…or is it just me?
I’m currently preparing and packing because Alex and I leave for London on Saturday. We got our nails done yesterday, and I started organizing all of my things to pack, but now that I’m actually packing…it feels real.
I think I’m having a panic attack, because I am shaking uncontrollably and getting really claustrophobic. The excitement and reality of it all isn’t really hitting me yet, but all this disorganization and having stuff is getting to me. There are things all over my house, and I am losing it!!!

And if so, what or where do you think it is?
